Anyas

Anyas is the most eastern land in the land of three. It has the Mists to the south, Tellus to the west and the sea of tears to the east and north. It is known as the land of water and stone. There are vast fields, rocky peaks, flatlands and an abundance of water. The rivers, lakes, streams and canals flow freely and are alive with aquatic life.

They trade fish, spices, weapons, hemp, precious gems, beautiful metals, tobacco and medicines.

Anyons are tempestuous people who have hot tempers, brave swords, wicked tongues, savage hearts and are loyal to the death. They believe what is theirs, is theirs forever. May the gods help anyone who tries to take it away from them. Clothes, horses, lovers, children, money, stones in their yard, if it is theirs, then best to leave it be.

They move big, talk proud, live hard and love beyond reason. They aren’t beyond lying if it suits them, killing if it is necessary and respecting if it is deserved. They don't take crap from anyone, but they might spread a little of their own around.

They bow to their nobility and royalty, they believe in taking what they need if working doesn't do it, and they will go to extraordinary measures not to get caught.

Their social structure is clearly defined. A servant is on the same level as a useful animal and a slave is beneath that. The father is the head of the household and if there is no man in the house the woman takes up the responsibilities with the same authority as a man.
The children are taught how to use a weapon or fight with their hands and feet when they are old enough to stand. Everyone works, from the youngest to the oldest.

They anger quickly if they feel taken advantage of and will resort to violence if they feel wronged. They can be cold and moody, witty and charming, and dangerously agreeable. They are merciless fighters, accomplished liars, intense lovers and strict parents.

To them there is only one land, Anyas. There is one great ruler, theirs. There is one people, them. There is one way to live, with all they have. And one way to die, fighting all the way down.
