Tellus

Tellus lays in the middle of the land of three. To its east is Anyas, the west is Olendar, to the south is the Mists and the north is the Sea Of Tears. It has forests, mountains, plains and valleys. There The people are of many races and live with dignity, united against all outsiders. They are friendly enough but have a distance, a poise that keeps them bound together and makes them nearly impossible to divide. Wound one Tellusion, insult one and you've insulted them all.
They are generous but careful, honest but not foolish. They make powerful warriors, intuitive craftsmen and are known for the finest wines and musical instruments in the world.
They can tell stories until dawn, sing any song you can play and fight any battle till the ground is stain forever.

They trade nuts, furs, wine, tools, musical instruments and tellsonite. This last is an ore they mine from the ground. It is found only in Tellus and is stronger then any stone or steel. They use it to make their weapons and tools.

For many years Tellus depended on other lands for their water. A promise made in the heat of love, in the passion of sex, in the need of brother and want of sister, the moon goddess persuaded Heli to grant her the power of water. Bound by his word he watched Tellus struggle through blight and drought, through fire and dust, for hundreds of thirsty years.
when the major earthquake of 1001 struck, Heli changed Tellus forever. He banished the gods from Tellus, permitting only the templers and mortals to dwell there. He filled the deep cavern made by the destruction of the palace, with cool pure water. This lake has untold depths and is several miles wide. The great nation of Tellus no longer needs to quench its thirst away from home.

Though the devastation from the earth quake was staggering, these brave determined people joined together to rebuild their land, to resume their place, to thrive with integrity. resolute, they demonstrated the tenacity that the Tellusions are famous for.

From the forests comes the songs of old and new; from the taverns and hearthsides comes the tales of heros and lovers;and from the ashes rises the indomitable spirit that makes Tellus what it is.
